In these paintings the shore sea, horizon and sky become areas of expressive and evocative colour and texture. The work alludes to the infinite and the immediate in our world and in our minds. Both are a source of wonder.

Honesty :: This one has got stuck, what I thought would work didn’t. So it has gone on the back burner for a while.
Arrived back to find post with tax returns and a package from David Sandum in Norway ( @Davidsandumart ). The package contained two beautifully printed posters. One for the current Twitter Art Exhibition and the other for an exhibition of David’s gouache work from Sept 2010.
Difficult choice look through tax returns orput posters from package in to frames.

John Milton : Paradise Lost
Mixed Media on canvas with attached/modified objects pineapple top, an avocado stone, sunflower seeds, a snail shell and petals from an Amaryllis. There is also a small light bulb, a wrist watch mechanism and a feather.

I have in mind to use flowers, seeds fruit and geometric form. There may be a small light bulb in there somewhere too.
